We're sailing on the beautiful small ship SIRENA from OCEANIA CRUISES. We were originally drawn to the line for it's reputation for the finest food at sea. We originally booked this trip for the fall of 2020 (we all know how that went) - and used our original booking credit to book this trip, then over the last two years we saved (since we really weren't spending money traveling anywhere else) and upgraded to their Vista Suite.
Harr Travel does a great tour of this room, you'll notice in their video - the room has been "reinspired". The Sirena went through a full refit in 2019 and was about to set sail on it's 2020 voyages when COVID hit. So the boat is, for all sakes and purposes, brand new.
After five years of putting funds aside to really bust it out at 100% - David and I are finally heading to Europe for vacation on May 18th. (TEN DAYS AWAY!). We'll be flying to Barcelona overnight on the 18th - and spending a day in Barcelona before board the beautiful small ship SS Sirena from OCEANIA CRUISES. This trip is for our 15th anniversary - so we booked a suite. It's a bit over-the-top but I figure this will be a once-in-a-lifetime trip so it's worth doing. (more details on in another post)
We'll leave Barcelona on the after noon of the 20th and over the next 13 days visit Valencia, Seville, Portimao, Lisbon, Porto, Coruna, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Saint Malo and then into Southhampton south of London on June 3rd. To say that I've been over and over all the details and got this all planned out is a teensy bit of an understatement. David has been very patient with all my weird questions and suggestions. Please see the links above to the Google Photos uploads - and I'll post the highlights here each day - and link to more detailed stuff. Stay tuned!
